We’re still using Nike+ to help us track our runs, and help motivate us to run more. There are now 3rd party sites that pull run data from Nike+ and display it more usefully then Nike+. Here are Toby’s and Kelly’s runs as hosted by slowgeek.com:

We’ve finally got our 2nd floor remodel going (adding master bedroom, bathroom and study upstairs). We’re able to stay in the house during the work, which hasn’t been too bad yet. They don’t need to do much in the original part of the house except for the back bedroom, which we’ve vacated.

On Sunday we went to Fairytale Town in the park with our friends from Berkeley who have 2 little kids. Ben is too young to really enjoy the place, but we had fun watching the other kids play.

Kelly ran her first half-marathon last weekend - The Shamrock’n - which started and ended at Raley Field in West Sac. The weather was great, and Ben and I, and grandma and grampa hung out and watched the action. Kelly came in just seconds under 2 hours, which she was very happy with. My cousin Anne Jenny and friend Eric also ran the race.
Unfortunately, Kelly’s CHIP timing didn’t seem to work, and she didn’t show up in the race results. After a few emails, they added her in, but with a time just OVER 2 hours.

Decided to give Mountain Bike racing another shot, after a few races I did back in like 1993 in my early biking days. There’s a Wednesday evening Spring series out at Prairie City OHV park just a bit outside of Sacramento. It’s very casual, and the course changes each week. Didn’t know if I belonged in the Beginners or the Sport category, but I guess after winning 2 races in a row in Beginners, I’m probably going to have to bump up soon! It’s a ton ‘o fun, fast and sketchy, with a wide range of skills out there all at once on the course - they even have a fairly well attended 10-14 yr/old category! Makes for an obstacle course of people and bikes.
Update: After winning my first 2 races, more competition joined the startline, and I ended up in 3rd for my next 2 races, but then won my 5th race.
