The second week of our trip was spent in Nicaragua. Mostly in and around Granada, which is a great Spanish colonial city. We also spent a night out in huge Lake Nicaragua, on the island of Ometepe with it’s twin volcanos. <MAP>

In September of 2004 we went on a week-long hut-to-hut mountain biking trip that was to cross the San Juan Mountains, going from Durango, CO to Moab, UT. This shot is from the first day, after our first 1500 foot climb with loaded panniers. I hope to get more pictures up at some point.
